How To Connect Internet From iPad wifi With iPhone 3Gs or iPhone 4

Recently I just discovered myself how to access Internet from my only-wifi iPad via personal hotspot sharing from my old iPhone 3Gs (if you have iPhone 4, it’s great to have one more option to connect)

Actually my mobile plan has given me an internet access for 2Gb every month. However as you know accessing Internet from a little screen like iPhone, I wouldn’t take much long therefore I never use up. When apple had launched an update 4.3 for iPhone, I’d hear that the feature of personal hotspot is only for iPhone4. I was quite disappointed. However, every time I open setting on my iPhone 3Gs I just wonder why there was this feature on my iPhone. I didn’t give much attention and just neglected.

Until I just played around with it recently LOL, I turned on this feature and it asked me to use only bluetooth or USB. I was quite surprised!! And tried to connect with my only wifi iPad via Bluetooth and you know what! It works.

With this I would be able to share Internet on any other devices, laptop or computer.

If you don’t know this feature yet, I recommend you go back and see if you have this feature available.

Here is how you can set up
1. Goto setting on iPhone (3Gs or 4)
2. Goto General > Network and turn on personal hotspot
3. Now go back to ‘setting’ page you’ll see another tab ‘Personal Hotspot’ under ‘Wi-Fi’
4. Go to another device such as iPad and turn on your bluetooth and wait for discovering your device and get it connected.

Note: your iPhone must update to 4.3 or higher version.

Have fun
